Keep the Mac safe first.

Use Diagnostics in the Mac app to see why NIAC is active, whether an assertion is held, relay state, Phone Tether, and whether Travel Guard is locked. Export a redacted bundle if you need to share state.

If the Mac should sleep and does not, choose Stop NIAC. If that fails, restart the Mac. This build does not change pmset and must not leave a permanent setting that disables sleep.

Find My remains the Apple service for locating a missing Mac. Enable FileVault and require a password after sleep.
